The Baker Match play championship for individuals is conducted annually throughout the summer. The winner of this bracketed, full handicap, knockout match play event becomes the Baker National Golf Club Individual Match Play Champion. You can't win if you don't enter!
To Do List: 1. Sign up on golf genius, bakers portal site, bakerclub2025.golfgenius.com by May 1st, 5:00 pm. 2. Pay $20 entry at front desk or to Dave Pettit; can't play without paying! 3. Once the brackets are posted, players schedule their matches by mutual agreement. 4. Conduct the match by the event rules posted on the bulletin board. 5. Record results on the Bracket posted on the bulletin board. 6. Keep to the schedule. Very important! 7. Win or Lose have fun. Winners earn $20 for each match. 8. Win every match and you become THE CHAMPION! 9. Schedule to follow after sign up date.

Baker Team Match Play Sign Up by May 1st
The Baker Match Play for teams of two players is conducted annually throughout the summer. The competition is in two phases; 1) a qualifying round robin, followed by 2) a knock-out bracket play. All matches play with a playing handicap at 90% of course handicap, each player gets a number of strokes greater than the lowest handicap player, who plays with no strokes. The winners of the knockout bracket becomes the Baker National Golf Club Team Match Play Champions.
To Do List: 1. Find a partner and register on our portal site, bakerclub2025.golfgenius.com (you can sign up as a single with no guarantee of entry) Sign up deadline is May1st, by 5:00 pm. 2. Pay the entry fee of $20 per person either at the front desk or to Dave Pettit. 3. Once the groups are posted, players schedule their own matches by mutual agreement. 4. Conduct the match by the event rules posted on the Bulletin Board. 5. Very Important, keep to the schedule. 6. Win or lose have fun! 7. Qualifiers from the round robin move to the Knockout Bracket. 8. Win every match in the knockout and you become the BAKER MATCH PLAY TEAM CHAMPIONS! 9. Schedule will follow after sign up date.

A,B,C,D groups are determined by player handicap with one-fourth of the entrants in each designated group with lowest handicaps in the A group and highest in the D group. EVENT: A four-person team event with one player from each designated group (A,B,C,D) in each foursome. All players hit from the tee on each hole. Teams determine which drive to use and all players play their own ball, which is placed within one club length and within the same cut of grass from the selected tee shot. Placements are to be no nearer to the hole. The best 3 net scores on each hole will be used as the team score. Teams are required to use a minimum of 3 drives from each player. 8:00am Shot Gun start.

EVENT: A four-person team event. You may sign up as a single, twosome, threesome or foursome. Your team records one, net low ball per hole determined as follows: On your starting hole (and every third hole thereafter) your net low ball can be from any of the four players. On the second hole (and every third hole thereafter) the net low ball must belong to one of the three remaining eligible players. On the third hole, the net low ball must belong to one of the two remaining eligible players. On the fourth hole you play the series starts over. Player “elimination” from the previous hole must be determined before any tee shots are hit on the next hole of play. All teams will use their starting hole as the beginning of their three-hole sequence and proceed accordingly for the complete 18-hole sequence.

EVENT: Two-player teams play holes 1-6 as best ball, holes 7–12 as a scramble and holes 13-18 as alternate shot with BOTH players hitting from each tee and shots made alternately from the spot of the selected tee shot. Teams will be flighted by full handicap. In scramble format 2nd shot is allowed 1 club length no closer to the hole and in the same cut of grass/bunker as original ball. When you sign up please indicate who your playing partner is via the message to managers link in the sign up process. You can also sign up as a single and we will pair you up with another member. For singles we do need to end on an even number for the event, so sign up early and we will take on a first come first serve basis.

Event: The Senior/Super Senior Club Championship is a one-day event. No purses are offered, but trophies will be presented to the winners of the Senior and Super Senior flights at the Hullabaloo on September 7th. Players who are 50-59 years old are included in the Senior flight. The Super Senior flight is for all players 60 and over. The Senior champion will be the player with the lowest gross score posted by all players (including Super Seniors) who play from the white tees. The Super Senior Champion will be the player with the lowest net score produced in the Super Senior flight. Super Senior players not competing for the Senior Championship will play from the same tees they play in all other 2024 club events. Players who tie for first place in either or both flights will be declared co-champions. This Year; Non Senior Golfers can sign up to play and be eligible for the gross and net skins competitions. All participants will contribute $5 (paid at the front desk at check-in) for the skins pool and beverages.

EVENT: An individual flighted stroke play event. Flights will be based strictly on course handicap and determined by the total number of entrants in the field. The club champion and all flight champions (with the exception of the last flight) will be determined by the lowest gross score in each flight.
The Club Championship is a 2-day, 36-hole tournament. Championship flight players will play from the red barn markers (back tees) on both days and local rule for lost ball does not apply for this flight. All other flights will play from the white or silver tee markers.
NOTE – Only those players playing in the championship flight are eligible for the title of Club Champion. Players in other flights retain the option of moving up a flight, but must notify the Tournament Committee in advance. Senior players (age 55+) who qualify by handicap for the championship flight may request to move to the first flight if there course handicap is 6 or greater. Non-senior players may petition the Tournament Committee to move to the first flight if there are mitigating factors that present an insurmountable barrier to their competitive play in the championship flight. If after two days we have a tie in the Championship Flight than a sudden death playoff is required to determine the Club Champion.
SPECIAL NOTE –– IF YOU WISH TO COMPETE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP FLIGHT (and do not otherwise qualify by handicap index), YOU MUST INDICATE THIS TO THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE.

EVENT: This is the Baker Golf Club’s only member/guest event. There will be separate member/member and member/guest flights. Member/guests all play in one flight, unless modifications need to be made due to the number of guest players. Members are expected to pay for guest green fees (at tour card rate) and guest fees. Guests fees are $35 in addition to the green fees, for food, refreshments, and prize money. Member/member players will be divided into flights again based on the total number of players.
This is a two-person, best ball event. Each player plays his own ball from tee to green. Team score will be the lower of the two net scores. Flights are determined by team handicap.
This is a 2:00pm shotgun start , and, as always, is played rain or shine. Following play, we invite all members and their guests to remain for our annual dinner, awards, and recognition for 2025 play, and raffling of prizes including a free membership for 2026.
